In this period of technology, many people say that universities should not teach art subjects.
According to my opinion, I firmly disagree with this notion and my opinion will be discussed in further paragraphs with a suitable conclusion.
Supporting my agreement to the given statement, I strongly believe that artistic subjects could help to develop several thinking skills: for instance, to formulate a critical thinking, to have a great knowledge of each field, from politic to philosophy, passing from geopolitics to history. These aspects are part of life and giving a civic sense to citizens. On its darker side, one of the drawbacks which makes it problematic is the lack of job opportunities due to the fact that there is a low percentage of work places. The reason of this problem is the fact that nowadays the companies require more scientific and informatic skills than the artistic ones because the world is evolving with even more technologies.
So, both points of views were considered, remaining on my personal opinion that the study of the arts is vital to the development of a civilized society.
In conclusion, I believe that mentioned point are strongly supporting my view point. It is a mixed bag of positives and negatives aspects.
