The charts give information about average shares in the sodium, saturated fat and added sugar, in meals eaten by people in the USA.
Looking from an overall perspective, the sodium and saturated fats account for highest percentage of meal in dinner, while snacks contain the most added sugar. In contrast, breakfast has the lowest proportion in all three nutrients.
Turning to the details, the percentage of sodium and saturated fat in dinner were the highest, former is responsible for 43 % and the latter 37 %. Meanwhile, the percentage of added sugar in dinner account for 23 %.
On the other hand, the most share of added sugar (42 %) included in snacks. While use the sodium and saturated fat about 2 times less than added sugar. In breakfast all foods have similar and lowest proportions among all three nutrients, ranging between 14-16 %.
Finally, Lunch meal constitutes around 29% sodium and 26% saturated fat, while the proportion of added sugar in lunch lower by 10 % than others.
