The bar chart gives information about activities that children in Australia and New Zealand enjoy doing the most, namely: art and craft, books, computer games, DVDs, going to the park, and sports in 2007.
Overall, it is apparent that while Australian children’s most favourite activity was sports, the New Zealanders’ showed interest in art and craft. Notably, the percentages of DVDs’ liking were equal in both countries.
Regarding Australian youths, the most popular category was doing sports, at approximately 28%, followed by going to the park at 25%. Conversely, reading, and art and craft attracted the lowest rate of children, at about 7% and 10%, respectively. In addition, computer games and DVDs’ both gained a 15% favourable in youngsters.
For New Zealanders, children tend to love spending time on art and craft the most, accounting for 25% while the opposite was true for doing sports and going to the park, at about 12% for both. DVDs and books’ lovers shared the same proportion, at about 18% whereas the percentage of children who enjoy playing computer games was equal to those in Australia.
