Overall, the population of the town had increased compared to the past. Compared to 1815, the present seem to have less greenery due to deforestation & urbanization.

The lenton woods had been cleared to set up the lenton housing estate. A sports centre has been constructed in place of the coach inn. The plot of land that Lord Westley’s House used to reside in had been transformed into two hotels called the Red Lion and Lenton Hotel.
