It is true that online courses are now welcoming and put into use in some universities. In this essay I will discuss whether this phenomenon is positive or negative.
Thanks to the development of modern technology, we can access the internet platforms in order to receive information and attend online courses. However, because this way of obtaining knowledge completely relies on the electricity and internet, therefore, whether something goes wrong with the wifi module or power cut, the lesson will be interrupted and cause student’s uninterested. Besides, online courses are not suitable for students who have trouble concentrating and it is hard for teachers to manage those students.
Although, it is understandable why universities are applying to study through online courses. First, this way of teaching gives students who have hectic schedules as well as hard to commute to school due to the weather or family background an opportunity to acquire knowledge. Secondly, students can improve their soft skills, be it concentration or active.
In conclusion, there are reasons why online classes are disadvantageous, but from my perspective, the advantages of this way of teaching outweigh the disadvantages by the aforementioned ideas.
