The diagram presents the process of producing drinking water by using a solar-powered water pump and water filter.
In general, there are seven main stages in the process of producing drinking water, beginning with the capture of sunlight by solar panels, and ending with collecting water in moveable containers.
Firstly, solar panels gather energy from sunlight and then the energy goes through wires and transferred into electricity by a converter. Next, electricity is transported to a pump, which is located in an underground well.
In the following stage, water goes up a tube to the water tank, located on a wooden platform. Then, a water filter inside the tank is used to filter the water before it is transmitted the the next tube. After being filtered, the water is now ready to be drunk. Finally, the tap is opened so water could run down the pipe to fill moveable containers for people to collect.
