The two pie charts show data regarding how much time spent by smartphone and tablet users according to six different activities.
Overall, it is clear that users primarily use both smartphones and tablets for gaming, although they tend to spend more time playing games on tablets. Additionally, smartphones are rarely used for reading the news, while utility apps are the least popular category on tables.
Starting with smartphones, the amount of time spent on smartphones is highest for games, with 35%, followed by social networking, with 29%. The next levels are for utilities, with 20%, while the data for the remaining categories range from 8% to 3%.
Turning to tablets, games emerge as the most significant use, devoting 57% of the total time spent in these categories, about four times as much as social networking (15%) and music and videos (13%)’ time spent. The other services come in fourth with 8%, whereas news and utilities are the lowest categories in the tablets’ chart, with 4% and 3%.
