The line graph depicts the number of international tourists visiting three different museums in London from 2000 to 2015.
Overall, the British Museum had the highest number of visitors throughout the period. All three museums demonstrated a general increase over the years with minor fluctuations.
In 2000, the number of visitors to the British Museum was just over 2 million. The museum experienced a slight increase with minor fluctuations until 2006, after which it rose significantly to 2.5 million. Visitor numbers continued to rise, peaking at approximately 2.75 million in 2008. The Natural History Museum experienced a similar pattern. It attracted around 2.75 million visitors in 2000, after which it declined to just below 1.25 million. A resurgence occurred in the following year and then grew steadily until 2015.
The Tate Modern museum attracted the lowest number of visitors with approximately 750,000. Fluctuations occurred throughout the period until it peaked at just over 1 million in 2010 and 2011, and again in 2015, when visitor numbers reached just under 1.5 million.
