Overall, what stands out from the graph is that there was a considerable increase to both UK and Italy, while germany, France and Belgium experienced fluctuation and steady over the period in question. Another interesting point is that the percentage of female members of parlament in Germany started at around 35(percent) and levelled of at the same line.
Looking at the detalis, as regards UK, the percentafe of women members of parlament started at around 5% in 2000 and there was a negligebly improve to about 10% in 2004. Following this, the figure went up rapidly approximately 30% in 2012. If we look at I5taly female members of parlament it started at around 25 % in 2000. After this point, the line went up negligebly to about 31% in 2004, and then there was a marginal increase between 30% and 35% in 2008. Next, the figure finished at just under 40% in 2012.
By contrast, the percentage of female members of parliament in France witnessed considerable fluctuation. It started 25% in 2000 and there was a sharp growth. Subsequently, the figure went down rapidly to around 30 % in 2008 and finished at 31% in 2012. In Belgium women members of parlament started at about 16% and increased rapidy to around 30 % in 2004 and the line levelled of just around 26% untill 2012.
