The given bar chart provides an illustration on the proportion of male and female students of six different countries, namely China, Romania, Thailand, India, Russia, Vietnam that are capable of using foreign language fluently.
Overall, girl students seem to have better foreign language proficiency than boy ones. Moreover, Indian students outperform others in using different languages.
It can be seen from the chart that there is a huge gap in using languages between female students in the mentioned countries. While Indian and Romanian lead the chart with nearly 70%, and 64%, respectively; Thai and Chinese female students stand below others at 27%, and 30%. The two remaining countries, which are Vietnam and Russia, however, have the average rates in which 56% for Vietnam, and 43% for Russia.
The same figures for boys follow the equivalent pattern with girls’, but somehow lower. It clearly shows that Indian and Romanian male students also topped the chart with relative 56% and 42%. Male students in Thai and China solely stand at slightly over 14% and 30%. The rate for Vietnamese is approximately 48%, followed by Russian, which is about 35%.
