The chart illustrates how expenditure in an average house in some town is divided for the year 2017 and 2018. Upon first glance, both the charts look quite the same, which indicates that there wasn’t a drastic change in any cost category.
Looking closer, the expenses in household bills had remained the same in both the years. In addition, the payments for categories schooling and rent or house purchasing had decline of four and seven percent respectively. On the other hand, the payments for entertainment along with grocery costs had surged by five and seven percents respectively.
Interestingly, while the decrease in expenditure for the essential categories for rent or house purchasing and schooling can be seen in an optimistic light, the people in the cities seem to be utilizing their reduced expenses in these categories for entertainment purposes.
