The given chart provide a comparison of general household expenditure on five different categories from 2017 to 2018. Overall, the majority of household costs allocated for rent or house purchasing. By contrast, entertainment required the least amount of money.
In both two years, rent or house purchasing ware consistently the highest expenditure, accounting for a quarter of the total, despite witnessed a sharp dip from 32% in 2017 to 25% in 2018. Followed by schooling costs, which also saw a slight decreased from 22% to 18%. In contrast, spending on entertainment rose from 10% to 15% over one year.
Regarding the remaining expenses, despite having the same percentage of costs, at 18%, household bills and grocery underwent different trend. While the figure for the former remained fairly static, that of the later increased by 6%, reaching 24% in the terminal year.
