At first glance, it can be seen that the Norbiton industrial area is planned to undergo significant transformations, with more residential areas and infrastructures like a playground, shops, a medical centre, and a school.
The first map shows the current layout of the industrial area. The town of Norbiton is towards the west side of the area. A river is flowing from west to east and a farmland which is located in the north of the Norbiton industrial area. A roundabout is situated in the centre of the area which is connected to the southern road and 5 factories to its east and the roundabout is surrounded by 3 factories at the western part of the town.
According to the proposed future development plan all factories will be eliminated. The town will remain in the same place as it is now. A bridge will be constructed upon on the river and housing will be built to the north. The existing roundabout will be expanded its wings, among of them a road will be connected with housing, a playground and a school. Another road going towards west and housing will be built. Shops and a medical centre will be constructed to the south. Lastly, the road going southwards now connect to the southern road at a small roundabout.
