In 1980, Singapore airways had the highest number of flights arriving to Hong Kong with 16 flights, whereas, 45 aeroplanes from Thai airways came to Hong Kong in 2000. Thai airways, Malaysian airways, Singapore airways and Japan airways accounted for greater than 10 aeroplanes in 1980. More than 35 aircrafts from Thai airways, Malaysian airways, Singapore airways and Japan airways came to Hong Kong in 2000 and the number of aircrafts from these airlines tripled. There were no flight from Dragon airway in 1980, however, in 2000, 10 aircrafts landed in Hong Kong. The number of flights from Cathy Pacific and Canadian airline doubled, although, Canadian airline had the least number of flights coming to Hong Kong in 2000.
