The provided line graph illustrates information about the number of shops that were shut down or opened in one particular country, spanning from 2011 to 2018. Overall, it is clear that during the 2011-2012 and 2014-2015 periods, the figures had experienced the most notable fluctuations.
In the beginning, closures number of 8000 was the highest in the whole graph, whereas there had been approximately 6500 openings of new stores. The number was 1500 less than the figure for closed stores. In 2012 both figures showed downfall. Afterwards, the number of openings began to rise and reached its maximum of 7000 in 2013. By 2014, both numbers of openings and closures had been about the same of 6000.
Starting from 2015, the statistics started rapidly going down. Openings number was only 1000 and closures number 4000 at the same time. During the 2016, 2017 and 2018 years, the figure for openings showed stagnation and was about 5000. Closures number had similar pattern and styed 4000 in 2016, 2017, then went down to 3000.
In summary, the numbers of newly opened stores and recently closed ones correlated trough the whole 7 years period.
