Overall, it is a man-made process including six main stages, commencing from catching fish in the sea and ending with distributing them to sell in fish shops.
In the first stage, fish are caught in large nets and when the fish are loaded onto boat, they are ready to be transported to the port. Then, they are stored and frozen. After being frozen, fish are prepared to be thawed out in fresh water. In the next phase, their heads are removed and cut open into smaller pieces. After that, fish are soaked into salt water with yellow coloring before being smoked.
Once the fish are smoked, they are packaged into the boxes and kept at zero degrees celsius. At the subsequent stage, the products are put in the cold store and distributed by truck to fish stores. Finally, they are ready to be sold to customers
