line chart illustrates the number of university graduates in Canada between 1992 and 2007.
It is clear that the number of both female and male university graduates increased significantly. Furthermore, the number of female graduates was much higher than the number of male graduates from the start.
In 1992, there were about 98,000 female students who graduated from university, in comparison with only around 70,000 male students w ho graduated. Over 4 years, the number of female graduates saw a variation. At the same time, there was a slight increase re corded in the number of male graduates.
From 1998 onwards, there was a dramatic growth in the number of female graduates and it even reached 130,000 students in 2003. A moderate upward trend was seen in the number of male graduates at the same time. To be more specific, the number of male graduates ended up around 90,000 students. At the end of the line chart, we can see easily that both of the two lines continued rising through the following years.
