The line graph highlights the number of abroad students in thousands who have been accepted by De Salle University between the years 1980 and 2020 from India, Vietnam, Nepal, Indonesia and Colombia. Overall, India has faced a significant and rapid increase in the number of enrolments between 1980 and 2020. While Colombia has a slow and steady increase in the number of enrolments. However, all countries have experienced an increase in enrolments within the 40 year span.
In the 1980s, the number of students accepted by De Salle University from various countries was relatively low, with no country exceeding 1,000 enrollments. Vietnam had the highest number of accepted students at exactly 1,000, while both Colombia and Nepal had no students enrolled, reflecting the lowest possible figure of zero.
Over the years, there has been a significant increase in the number of students accepted from these countries, culminating in 2020. Indian students, in particular, saw a dramatic rise in enrollment, soaring from approximately 500 in the 1980s to an impressive 15,000 in the 2020’s a staggering increase of 14,500 students over the span of 40 years. Meanwhile, the number of Colombian students grew at a much slower pace, with a steady but modest increase to around 1,200 students by 2020. This consistent growth contrasts sharply with the more volatile trends observed in other countries.
