This line graph illustrates the ratio of Internet users in three countries over a period of 11 years, starting from 1999.
Overall, while all figures exhibited fluctuations, there was a significant upward trend across the board. Notably, Canada experienced the largest growth in Internet usage among the three countries during this period.
Initially, in 1999, the percentage of American Internet users was the highest, at approximately 23%. Canada followed with around 10% of its population using the Internet, while Mexico had less than 5%, which was the lowest rate. By 2005, the numbers for both the USA and Canada rapidly climbed to nearly 70%. During the same time, Mexico saw a slight increase, rising to just above 25%.
By the end of the survey in 2009, Canada emerged as the leader in Internet usage, with nearly 90% of its population online. In contrast, the percentages of Americans and Mexicans using the Internet also saw significant increases, reaching about 70% and 30%, respectively.
