Both maps illustrate the development of Westley city since 1815.
Overall, it is obvious, that mostly all the buildings have changed, however the town hall is placed the same. Moreover, the road system has been extended, while the woods have been cut down.
According to the maps, presenting the town of Westley two hundred years ago and now, there are a Lenton hotel and the Red Lion on the old Lord Westley’s house place. Therefore, there is now a sports centre, that has replaced the Coach Inn, and a museum nearby. The church is replaced by West Gate shopping centre. Going down the street, there is a town hall, wich is on the same place and a market square. Furthermore, there is also a cinema.
In addition, there were numerous nature creatings, such as Lenton woods and fields. In present they are chanded to Lenton housing estate, shopping,bisness and residental area. Nevertheless, the Lenton lake and the river Twine have not changed, except the is no Twin Tall bridge. Likewise, now there is a train station and the extended road system.
