The chart shows the comparison of the number of males and females performing cosmetic procedures in Korea in 2004.
Overall, it is evident that the number of Korea women who has cosmetic procedures is higher than men. Besides, it can be seen that males and females experience various types of procedure that differs between the two genders. However, they follow a similar pattern with a certain procedure is the more dominated than others.
In terms of women, the most popular procedure is apparently eyelid surgery with more than 300 people who had it. Whereas, the least common one is surgery type liposuction, which is only carried out by 120 women. These two procedures, along with breast enlargement, are only found in women. Nevertheless, rhino plastic and laser skin resurfacing are also seen in men, even though they are carried out by women at a higher rate of approximately 280 and 320 in respective.
Regarding males, on the one hand, cosmetic surgery is commonly performed on men with the hair transplantation with about 60 people. On the other hand, only less than 20 man, which indicates much lower amounts regarding both the highest and lowest rate than in females. Besides, the chart also implies that Rhino is more popular than laser in males, whilst the opposite happened in females.
