In the modern era, the problems due to personal vehicles are enormous. All over the world, there has been an increase in the usage of vehicles by the public. Due to this, many problems have arisen including road traffic and air pollution. In this essay, I will discuss the causes of the increase in private vehicles and the solutions to overcome this issue.
To begin with, vehicles around the world have increased drastically. The public are willing to buy their own vehicles due to safety and feasibility. Firstly, The main cause for this problem is Humans are not showing their interest to utilize public transportation. However, people want to show their stature by purchasing a vehicle. To illustrate, one of my neighbors had two motorcycles and still, they have chosen to buy a car. According to a survey, a household’s average number of vechiles is two. The public are lazy to go on a walk even for a short distance. Instead walking they are keen to use their vehicles. Therefore, there are many vechiles travelling on the road causing several contemporary issues worldwide.
On the other hand, the governments of their respective countries had to take over innovations to counteract the resulting problems such as traffic congestion, air pollution, and parking space insufficiency. For example, the number of lanes should be increased for the free flow of vechiles on the road. The Government can implement new subsidy schemes to buy environment-friendly vechiles like electric vechiles and CNG vechiles. Parking issues are the major concerns for four vehicular owners in urban areas. To counteract this, for instance, the government of Telangana built a high-rise building for vehicle drop-out near Charminar in Hyderabad. Thus, the government and people should take a stand to overcome the effects of vehicular increase.
To summarize this, people should utilize public transportation and the government should construct new infrastructure to decrease the problems of vehicles increase on the lane.
