Allocating a lot of time studying ís of paramount importance to full-time university students, while others believe that doing other activities is necessary for them. In my personal viewpoint, I totally agree with this belief due to some reasons which are explained in this essay.
There are some reasons why university students should spend their time studying. In this day and age, the amount of knowledge that they have to know in university has increased significantly to satisfy the job market in some big cities around the world. For instance, due to overpopulation in Hanoi, the job market has become more and more competitive, resulting in the fact that many huge companies and corporations require workers to have a deep knowledge about their fields such as marketing, accounting and finance. Thus, it is essential for students to focus on their study for 4 years in university to enhance their job opportunities, making them become more successful in the future.
However, taking part in other activities during studying in the university also plays an important role in improving personal skills and experiences. The compelling reason is that those activities could help students gain real-life experiences that universities can not provide for them. This is because many big businesses require not only their grasp of knowledge in their careers but also various experiences which are gained from joining different activities such as internships, events and competitions. If they participate in those activities, they are likely to learn new skills, including problem- solving skills, critical thinking and time management, which make them more self-confident to apply to a professional workplace in popular corporations.
In conclusion, I believe that balancing between study in the university and other activities would be more crucial for students. Students should make a suitable timeline for them to study and focus on other activities so they could enriching their knowledge and real-life experiences.
