Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to tell you about an important matter. Last week I stayed in your hotel from Monday 7 th October until Thursday 11 th October . I was in Room 123 on the first floor. The service was very good and I enjoyed my stay there.

However, after I checked out, I realized that I forgot some important documents in the room. They were inside a black folder on the desk near the window. The documents include my passport copy, some business papers, and also my travel insurance paper. These are very important for my work and my travel, so I really need them back as soon as possible.

Could you please check with the housekeeping staff if they found the folder? If possible, I kindly ask you to send it to my home address by post, or I can arrange a delivery service. Please let me know what is easier.
