Overall, the proportion of cars made in North America and Asia both declined, while the figure for South America remained unchanged. Additionally, the percentage of cars manufactured in Europe underwent the most significant raising, whereas North America had the lowest growth by the end of the surveyed period.
In terms of Asia and North America, the figures both showed a downward trend over the period shown. Firstly, the percentage of automobiles produced in Asia declined slightly, starting at 35% in 2006 and increasing to 38% in 2008 before descending to 30% in 2010. Meanwhile, the rate for North America fell, but far more significant, standing at 29% in 2006 and going down to 9% in 2010.
Regarding Europe and South America, the proportion of automobiles manufactured in Europe showed the most noticeable ascending, doubling from 25% in 2006 to 50% in 2010. On the other hand, the figure for South America remained unchanged, decreasing mildly from 11% in 2006 to 8% in 2007 and falling again to 6% in 2008 before coming back to 11% in 2010.
