Tourism is quite popular and loved by many nowadays. A large number of places in the world rely on it as a main source of revenue. Although , it can cause some difficulties as well without proper management.
Firstly, it is obvious that people love to travel, gain new experiences, get to know different nations and cultures. This is definitely a big advantage of tourism. Individuals have opportunities to expand their horizon in many ways, which is quite helpful and just entertaining. There are even programs, which allow people to have tours around Europe, or simply around cities. They are suited for people who love to explore particular places and beautiful views. Second positive aspect for me is income, which was already mentioned before. Tourism is a business of some type, which leads to a huge income for many countries around the world. The budget of state is growing, and people’s enjoyment as well. At this point, working class and tourists both are in advantage.
On the other hand, enjoyment can lead to pollution due to inattentiveness of human beings. That is the first disadvantage which has harmful effects on our environment. It is also occurring because of congestion. An example of issues of overpopulation can be seen in China nowadays , as their law ban mothers from having more than one child, which can be quite sad for some families. Another drawback of such phenomenon is the treatment of tourists. Unfortunately , in many countries several shops, transport, and even simple water cost higher for foreigners , in opposite of native people. At the same time, people of other nationalities sometimes do not behave themselves properly and are impolite in other countries. So, with that being said, it is a double-edged sword behavior of both tourists and locals.
In conclusion, I would like to indicate that tourism is obviously an amazing opportunity for any type of person, meanwhile its advantages do not outweigh the disadvantages, because it is very enjoyable and profitable
