The given charts illustrate how households’ ownership of electrical appliances and amount of time spent doing chores changed in the same country throughout the period between 1920 and 2019.

Overall, it can be seen in the first graph that ownership of electrical appliances shows an upward trend, with significant changes in percentage of families who have access to washing machines, refrigirator and vacuum cleaner. In contrast, the latter line graph depicts a downward trend.

More specifically, the percentage of households who own refrigirator was equal to 0 in 1920, following a dramatical rise for 90% untill 1960. During this period, all three facilities faced the same range of 50% to 60% in 1940, when the percantage of vacuum cleaner ownership had gradual growth to 100% in 2000 with following stability.

Nevertheless, the second graph showed the opposite results to the first one. The number of hours spent on chores reached its peak of 50% in 1920. Then, there was a steady decrease to 20% in 1960 with a slight fall that took place regularly untill the end of the given period.
