There is a view that governments ought to allocate more money on railways than roads. In my opinion, I agree that spending more on building railway projects is more beneficial as it will greatly benefit both society and environment.
A good reason to direct funds towards improving railways is that it takes people to their destinations faster and also they do not need to concern about their safety. Offering more high-speed and safe trains encourages people to use them more in their daily lives. As a result, this reduces high volume of traffic jams and risk of accidents on roads.
Another point to consider is that allocating more funds on railways means that it bring more job opportunities for society. As demand for trains improves, government need to construct more train stations and more railways. It means that people who have no jobs will have an opportunity to work and earn money so that they will be able to afford their family needs.
On a broader level, trains are more environmentally friendly than cars. Cars produce carbon emissions and this is one of the main causes that are contributing to climate change. So it would be very beneficial if government spend more funds on railway. By doing so, government no longer have to worry about harm which cars are causing to environment.
In conclusion, governments should focus on more improving railways because it offers people fast and safe travels and bring more economic advantages to society. Also this initiative will result in better environment.
