Overall, it can be seen that the total population in Japan experienced a significant increase, overtaing other countries by the final year. Another noticeable trend is that in Sweden and USA the number of inhabitants rose dramatically.
In 1940, the population aged 65 and over started with 5%, and it dereased slightly to under 5% in 1980, before returning to its initial level in 2000. Meanwhile, the number of citizens aged 65 and over will see a dramatic growth to over 25% in 2040.
In contrast, in Sweden, there were approximately 7% in 1940, and it started rising to about 13% in 1980, before falling to 12%. However, it is planning to experience a considerable increase to 25% in 2040, surpassing the USA. The number of people in USA began with approximately 8% in 1940, but it rose to 15% in 1980. And around 2015, it declined to under 15%, also by 2040, there will be a significant rise in population.
