Overall, it is clear that watching TV is the most prevalent leisure activity in the UK in 2005, while American individual spend a fewest time reading books. Additionally, the 25-34 group age had the lowest average hours spent per day in recreational activities.
According to the graph, watching television had the highest figures among seven different activities, all group ages spent over 2 hours per day on this activity. Using computers for relaxing, exercise activity and other spare time activities were more attractive teenager group age the others, recorded at 0.9 hours per day, 0,7 hours per day and 0.6 hours per day respectively. However, the 20-24 group age spent a lot of time on socializing and communicating activities, with 0.9 hours per day.
By contrast, reading and thinking were the least attractive among all leisure activities, youngest and oldest people in America just spent under 0.3 hours per day for these activities. The oldest group age had the lowest average of spending leisure time for recreational activities.
