I'd like to share an experience that happened to me. I taught my approximately 50-year-old mother how to use a smartphone. Until that point, she had only used a cell phone with buttons. After my father went abroad, and since I work at school from morning until evening, my mother wanted to communicate with someone, particularly with my dad, while he was away. To facilitate this, we bought her a new smartphone so she could stay in touch with relatives and my father. I taught her how to download various apps for communication and video calls. She was excited, and I think it was a fascinating experience for her since it was her first time using a smartphone. While teaching her, I felt like a child instructing an elder in something new, which was quite an unusual role for me. I was proud of myself for helping her navigate this technology.
