The pie chart illustrates the proportion of different types of energy production in Spain for the period 2008 and 2017.
Overall, it is clear that Oil and Coal were dominant in both years, although it’s prorortion decreased significantly over the time. Meanwhile, Gas reamained relatively stable, Nuclear, Renewbles and Other noticeably increased.
In both years Oil was the major type of energy production in Spain even though in 2017 it’s persentage decreased by 4%. Coal’s share declined drammatically from 28%(in 2008) to 17% (in 2017). Gas, more or less remained almost quarter of total for both years which was 22% in 2008 and 23% in 2017.
Renewbles and Nuclear showed a notable increase rising from one tenth (Renewbles 9% and Nuclear 11%) in 2008 to almost one fifth of total (Renewbles 16% and Nuclear 17%) in 2017. Other energy production was also remarkably changed from 3% in 2008 to 6% in 2017.
