There’s no doubt that some individuals show distinction more than others in sports. Some people believe that physical ability is the source of this distinction. Others argue that mental health is more important for sports players. However, I firmly believe that mental capabilities might be significant in some games, but most sports depend the most on the player’s physical health.
To begin with, players’ physical strength is mostly crucial. Because most sports depend on the player’s strength and flexibility. For instance, basketball needs strong body capabilities. Because basketball is being played in small fields with many other competitors. Therefore, a basketball player needs to be jacked and strong, so he will be able to handle any injuries or friction in the field. Most importantly, to compete with the other players.
On the other hand, many believe that mental capabilities are more important than physical ones in sports. Because a player with great mental health can think and put reliable strategies. For instance, sports like chess and puzzles totally depend on mental abilities. Moreover, sports like football also need to be played strategically. Therefore, having strong cognitive abilities plays a crucial role in determining the player’s overall level. However, being able to determine strategies and techniques is admirable, but in most sports, those strategies don’t work properly because it’s insanely difficult to make all players comply completely with the plan.
To sum up, although having high cognitive abilities may distinction the player in some sports, mostly, the vast majority of sports depend the most on the player’s strength and physical capabilities.
