Band 6+: The graph below shows the effects of different brands of fertilizer on bean plant growth. Write a report for a university tutor describing the information shown in the diagrams below.

The bar chart illustrates the effects of distinct brands of fertilizer on the increase in height of bean plant.

Overall, maximum number of fertilizer brands such as, Granny’s Bloomers, Job’s House Plant Spikers and K Mark Fertilizer exhibited a significant growth of bean plant than the normal condition, that was not using of fertilizer, while only one brand, named Miracle Gro decreased the height.

To begin with, the most effective fertilizer brand was Granny’s Bloomers. This brand caused the average height to reach around 27 cm, which was almost 2.5 times of the normal growth. In the meantime, the use of K Mark Fertilizer also showed a rise of the height of plant becoming approximately 23 cm. Besides, Job’s House Plant spikers also increased the growth to become the plant nearly 15 cm, a significant rise than the usual height.

In contrast, the fertilizer brand named Miracle Gro failed to increase the height notably. After using this, plant’s height became nearly 6 cm which was much lower than the normal growth.
