The diagram illustrates the production process for manufacturing sugar from sugar cane.

Overall, the production is carried out in seven distinct phases (Growing, Harvesting, Crushing, Juice purification, Evaporation, Centrifuge and Drying and cooling).

The initial phase involves growing sugar cranes for a duration of 12-18 months. After fully grown, these sugar cranes are then harvested using either machines or manual labor. Following the harvesting, these sugarcanes are then crushed using a machine and converted into a juice. For the crushing, the sugarcanes are inserted in this machine which in turn provides the juice.

The procured juice is then purified using a funnel, which is fitted with a Limestone filter. This resultant juice is then transferred into an evaporator which transforms the juice into a syrup. The penultimate step includes a centrifuge process, which is characterized by the separation of sugar crystals from the syrup. Finally, drying and cooling make up the last step, which produces sugar.
