Overall, the police budget increased in 2017 and 2018, with the nation government remaining the largest source of funding. Additionally, money was mainly spent for paying the salaries of the officers and staffs in both years.

Turning to table, national government was the main source of the money, with 175,5 million, in 2017. This figure increased slightly to 177.8 million in 2018. The amount of money that came from local taxes, rose from 91.2 million to 102.3 million during these years. Furthermore, funding from other sources such as grants experienced small increase from 38 million to 38.5 million. As a result, an upward trend was observed in the total police budget from 304.7 million to 318.6 million.

Regarding to expenditure, salaries accounted for the biggest proportion of the budget throught the period, althought this fell from three out of four percentage in 2017 to 69% in 2018. By contrast, the usage of money for technology increased significantly, from 8% to 14%. Spending on buildings and transport remained constant at 17% in both years.
