Band 5+: Writing Task 1 You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. The table and charts below give information on the police budget for 2017 and 2018 in one area of Britain. The table shows where the money came from and the charts show how it was distributed. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words.

In this graphic we can clearly see that the total budget in 2018 had an increase by 15m ish, in particular thanks to the local taxes that got an important raise from 91.2m to 102.3m.

Even if the budget got an important raise, we can see by the charts that the money have been invested more on the thecnology, but the salaries for officers and the staff got a big decrease from 75% to 69% and no money has been spent on buldings and transport.

So in conclusion we can say that the police department decided that is more important to increase the budget for their technologies, maybe because they are very old and because they can help them doing their job more easily, more than the salaries of the staff and more than their buildings and transport, probably because they believe that they already have proper salaries for the staff and good buildings and transport and so they don’t need to be changed.
