The provided table and pie chart shows the budget and the expenditure of money in one area of Britain in the year 2017 and 2018.

Firstly, in the table, we can see the increase in the budget in the year 2018 as compared to the previous year, with the National Government providing most of the funds. While in the pie chart, we can see most of the money was spent for providing salaries with a slight hike in the expense for technology.

The total budget for the police department increased from 304.7m Euros in 2017 to 318.6m Euros in 2018. More than of the funds were provided by the National Government which increased by approximately 3m as compared to the year before. The local taxes also show an increase from 91.2m to 102.3m while other sources like grants, funded a little more than the previous year with only a difference of 0.5m between both years.

Coming to the pie chart, the money spent on the salaries of the officers and staff covers most of the parts but with a decline from 75% in 2017 to 69% in 2018. It is seen that the department has spent more money on the technology than the previous year while the expenses on buildings and transport remain unchanged.
