The table compares how young males and females listened to music using four various ways, which are live music, MP3 players, Internet and Cds over the given period in Tokyo, Japan, whereas the pie chart illustrates individuals’ preferences either live music or recorded music.

Overall, the most remarkable difference between men and women’s choices is in MP3 players, while it is the least in CDs. In the previous month, a high percentage of people preferred live music which was appromately triple that of recorded music.

On one hand, men listened to music using MP3 players at the peack level of 79% which was almost double that of women, at 40%. Furthermore, there were only slight differences in the datas of females who listened live music, used MP3 players or the Internet, at 44%, 40% and 42% respectively, by contrast, 22% of them used CDs. Among males, the most popular method of listening music was MP3 players, at 79%, followed by live music at 60% and the Internet at 55%, while CDs were the least popular option, at just 19%.

On the other hand, listeners’ preferences changed between 4%, 26% and 70%. More than half of the people preferred to live music, at 70%, ,while the lowest figure was ‘don’t know’, at 4%. Moreover, a quarter of individuals preferred recorded music.
