The line graph illustrates data on the number of pupils from three different countries (the US, the UK, and Australia) who studied in other foreign countries from 2002 to 2007. Overall, while the figure for the UK saw a mere decrease, the US and Australia remained almost unchanged.
In 2002, the number of students from the US stood at around 50,000 – the highest figure on the chart. Having fallen to nearly 46,000 in 2004, the number of students recovered its previous rate in the final year. Regarding Australia, the total number of students was 10,000 at the beginning of the period before reaching a plateau.
When it comes to the quantity of students from the UK, it was the only number that saw a decline. The figure accounted for about 30,000 in 2002, staying at roughly the same level until 2003, after which the figure gradually went down to approximately 22,000 at the end of the given time frame.
