The bar chart compares the mean duration of daylight over the year in two urban areas , namely, Sydney and Perth.
Overall, it was observed that the highest average hours of daily sunshine in Perth were in January and December, while it was lowest from June to August. In contrast, Sydney experienced a prolonged median of daily sunshine in January and from August to December, while the least was in May and June.
According to the graph, the median period of daily sunlight in Perth was found to be predominant in January, at around 11 hours, which significantly decreased to approximately 5 hours by June and remained constant until August. Thereafter, from September to December, this figure significantly peaked from around 7 hours to 11 hours of daily sunshine.
Conversely, the maximum mean period of daily sunshine in Sydney was noticed in the month of January, August, September, October, November and December, at exactly 8 hours. However, this number slightly dipped to 7 hours from February to April and in July. Meanwhile, the lowest average hours of daily sunshine in Perth were recorded from May to June, at exactly 6 hours.
