The following graphs give data on the number of people who attended entertainment events and participation prices for those activities in 2009.

Overall, most people attended cinemas, which was also the most affordable event among all entertainment venues. Theme parks provided the largest discount for a family.

To begin, over a million individuals attended cinemas, which was nearly four times larger than that of theme parks. Sports made up the lowest number of participants, which was around 180 thousand, being twice as low as the number of attendees at theme parks. As regards theme parks, their figure accounted for around one thirds of a million, and ranked second.

Turning to the admission prices, theme parks provided the biggest discount, $70 for a person and $210 for a group of four, meaning attendees paid for three tickets instead of four. Football games, including AFL, NRL, and NRU, in contrast, were the most expensive choice, costing from $71 to $75 for one ticket, and between $280 and $298 for a family. Meanwhile, prices of cinemas were the most affordable compared to other events, comprising $15 and $55 for one participant and for a family of four, respectively.
