Nowadays, smartphones play an essential role in our lives. Some people think that smartphones are necessary, while others believe that they are dangerous. In this essay, I will discuss both views and share my own opinion.

Firstly, smartphones allow individuals to communicate easily with others. For instance, there are many useful apps and websites that help us manage daily tasks. One cannot deny that without smartphones, people would struggle to perform simple tasks efficiently. Moreover, using phones can save time and allow us to do many activities that were impossible in the past.

On the other hand, some people believe that smartphones are harmful to health. Many adolescents spend excessive hours on their phones, mainly to check social media. It is widely believed that this can lead to health concerns, such as eye strain or poor sleep. For example, spending too much time on phones can decrease teenagers’ health and increase the risk of various syndromes. However, if society learns to use these devices responsibly, such problems can be avoided.

To sum up, using smartphones has both advantages and disadvantages. In my opinion, people can benefit from phones if they use them wisely. Ultimately, it is recommended to use smartphones for only 3-4 hours a day and remember that they should not dominate our lives.
