The line graph illustrates the number of users of fixed telephone lines, mobile phones, and the internet in China between 1994 and 2005.
Overall, all three types of communications experienced un upward trend throughout the period. While mobile phone showed the most significant growth, the internet remained the lowest among the three.
At the beginning of the period, in 1994, there were no users who applied mobile phones, while fixed telephone line users were above 20 millions. Then, the number of fixed telephone line users increased steadily and reached a peak about 350 million people by 2005. However, the line of mobile phone users grew sharply to 180 million people by 2000 and then it rose dramatically to 450 millions for the last five years. By 2005, mobile phone users had reached about 450 millions, being the leader among the three.
Otherwise, there were no internet users between 1994 and 1996, but then the line experienced negligible growth around 200 million people by 2005.
