Overall , it evident the number of people over 65 increased sharply over the period, while people under 14 and people from 25 to 64 age groups experienced a downward trend.
Looking at the details, elderly people over 65 accounted for 5% in 1960 and 1970. Then it rose dramatically from 10 % in 1980 to 30 % by 2020. The figure is likely to grow in the future and reach about 35 % of the total share.
By contrast, young people constituted 30 % at begging and rose to 35 % in following decade. After which, the percentage dropped to 30% and remained unchanged until 1980. At this point ,the number of young people decreased gradually to 20 % in 2020, following the same downward trend and falling to only 10% in the final year.
Regrading the working-age people , who comprised for largest share, it started at about 65% in 1960, followed by small fluctuation between 1970 and 1990 , the figure declined steadily to about 58%. It is projected that by the end of the period it will almost reach 60 %
