The data illustrates the number of student in further education in Britain in three periods and whether they are studying full-time or part-time.
Overall,the male students experienced a downward trend in part-time education whereas,upward trend is experienced in students studying full-time . Additionally, female students have experienced an upward trend in both part-time and full-time education.
The number of male students studying part-time education between 1970and 1971 was 1000,being higher than the female students. Then, it fell to almost 850 by 1980 and 1981 .However the figure shows the moderate increase to about 900 in 1990 and1991.Additionally,the number of students studying full-time has steadily increased and reached the peak from 1970 to 1991.
The number of female students studying part-time education between 1970 and 1971 was around 800.Then,it experienced upward trend in 1980 and 1981 and finally reached it’s peak with the figure almost 1150 in 1990and 1991.Also the number of female students studying full-time study was increased till 1990 and 1991
