The diagram illustrates the stages involved in producing avocado oil from freshly harvested fruit.
Overall, avocado oil extraction is a linear, multi-stage process that begins with the selection and cleaning of avocados and concludes with the bottling of clarified oil, using a combination of mechanical separation and controlled heating.
At the initial stage, avocados are harvested from orchards, after which any damaged or rotten fruit is discarded. The remaining avocados are thoroughly washed before being fed into a crushing machine, where the seeds and skins are removed, leaving only the pulp for further processing.
Subsequently, the pulp is transferred to a blender and gently heated to approximately 45-50°C. The resulting mixture then undergoes two consecutive centrifugation stages. In the first stage, solid matter is separated from the liquid and disposed of as waste. During the second centrifugation, the liquid is further divided into oil and water, with the wastewater being removed.
In the final stage, the extracted oil is filtered to eliminate any remaining impurities, producing clarified avocado oil, which is then dispensed into containers ready for distribution.
