The graphic below illustrates the process of leather production .
Overall,it can be observed that the use of manual labour and machine labour are important in the production of leather making. It can also be seen that there are different processes through which the end product is being made .
The first process is the delivery of animal skin from the farm , thereafter the hides are being sorted and divided into large and smaller quantities , the sorted skin is then trimmed and salt in sprinkled on top.it then goes through another process called curing where it’s left for a period of 30days and then after the duration its soaked in water for 12-24 hours .
Also, the hairs from the animal skin are removed using a knife , then soaked in water for about 24 hours . It’s then put into a tanning machine . It also undergoes the process of coloring and softening . It is then dried and goes through the last stage of waxing .
