The picture shows information about amount of energy using by fuel projections in Australia over a 50-year period starting in 1980 based to 2010’s report.
In general, it is noticeable that the steady uprising trends were observed in the amount of billion units. The oil fuel is the most widely used energy source throughout the period. Coal and natural gas also increase over time, while the nuclear and solar energy remain the least used sources, although they show a gradual rise.
Turning into the details, in 1980, oil consumption was about 35 billion units. It fell slightly to around 30 in 1990, but then increased steadily and is expected to reach nearly 48 billion units by 2030. Coal use rose continuously from about 16 in 1980 to just over 30 in 2030. Natural gas started at around 20 billion units, decreased slightly in 1990 and 2010, but is predicted to rise to about 25 by the end of the period.
The nuclear energy increased slowly from around 4 to about 8 billion units, while solar energy rose from about 3 to nearly 6 by 2030.
