The map illustrates the changes that occured in the town of Westley since the year 1815. There have been many changes, the most noticeable being the increases in residential buildings, and the elimination and transformation of some natural sites, for example Lenton Woods becoming a housing estate named Lenton Housing Estate and the addition of a museum.
To begin, an observable change is the destruction of the fields and transforming them into a train station. In addition, the construction of modern establishments during the present age can be seen all around town, such as a cinema, and even a shopping center. Next to the shopping mall, houses and residential areas can be seen. Close to that, its sighted that a staying inn got reshaped into a modern sports center. On the other side of the map and close to the Tinton village, we can see that Lord Westley’s Estate got transformed into two gorgeous modern hotels.
As spotted from the illustrations above the town of Westley got converted from a rural town into a modernized town in the span of 211 years. However, that is a positive change for this small town, as now it belongs to the present time we live in.
